A wonderful sterling Victorian folk art bracelet with a charming belt motif.
The buckle is applied, it has a raised post and two belt loops, all the parts have fine engraved designs.
The silver 'belt' has six applied hearts with engraved designs, the space between the hearts have engraved leafy vines.
Oval in shape, the bracelet is 3/8" wide, inside dimensions are 2.5" by 2", inside circumference is just under 7".
The bracelet will accommodate a small to medium wrist though hand size must be small as well.
Although is is somewhat crude in the workmanship, it has a really endearing look as most folk art does, it has not been cleaned or polished.
Unmarked for silver content, it tested sterling with acid.
Total weight is 13.8 grams.
