Victorian Long Graduated Black Glass Bead Mourning Necklace

A fabulous strand of antique black glass mourning beads from the Victorian era.

The beads are all slightly different in size and shape, they are slightly graduated in size from .5" to 5/8".

The facets catch and reflect the light to give the necklace a subtle shimmer- they were made to look like hand faceted jet beads and they do!

The beads are hollow so they are much lighter than the size of the beads and 37" length suggests.

The necklace is in excellent condition, all the beads are clean, no damage or wear, it has been restrung on new elastic for strength and longevity.

It can be worn long or easily doubled since it stretches.
