I believe this beautiful and rare holy water font to be German or French in origin.
The piece is porcelain bisque with accents in gold leaf and matte green glaze.
The angel is so serene and lovely, she has a beautiful face with soft features, gently curling hair sweeping her shoulders.
The pose has her delicate hands crossed against her chest, long sleeves drape well past her waist.
Great detail in the large wings and soft draping gown accented with gold leaf.
The matte green background is textured, it provides nice contrast to the white angel.
There are small areas of the font have a shiny clear glaze, the rest is matte.
Measures 7" by 2.75", condition is excellent, no damage or wear.
The inscribed with the numbers 3292 on the back.
An outstanding, fine quality font from the late 19th to early 20th Century.
