A wonderful quality sterling necklace and earring set was handcrafted by noted Taxco artisan M. Ocampo c1930-40s.
Colorful abalone shell is inlaid into sixteen curved links embellished with a design in wire and accented with a single silver bead.
The matching earrings have the same design that is worn vertically.
The set is very well made with precision and great attention to detail.
All connecting rings are soldered, the abalone shell is very colorful and has fabulous markings.
Signed on the back of all three pieces with the hallmark* 'M Ocampo Taxco Mex, with '925' in the center.
The necklace measures a very wearable 18" long, the links are .5" wide, the screw back earrings are 1&1/8" by .5". Total weight is a substantial 42.7 grams.
