A really lovely vintage sterling ring c1930s.
A bezel set serpentine cabochon is framed with sparkling marcasites.
The stone is shades of green with subtle yellow undertones when the light hits it.
Very well made with great attention to detail- the bezel has a very fine sawtooth edge and the bead set marcasites are framed on three sides with millegrain.
Each marcasite frame alternates a curved outer edge with a flat one creating an interesting scallop.
The underside of the setting has a recessed deco detail, the silver is contoured for a comfortable fit.
Ring size 6.5, the top measures 7/8" by .75", the serpentine cabochon is .75" by .5".
Excellent condition, no damage and minimal wear, marked Sterling and Theda, hallmark for Ideal Mfg. Co Providence, RI. White spots on the stone are glare.
A beautiful Art Deco sterling ring with a beautiful serpentine stone.
