The large pin features a gorgeous Wedgwood cameo of a Grecian woman playing a lyre.
The silhouette is graceful and very striking against the rich blue background.
Lovely attention to detail, her body showing through the diaphanous gown.
The cameo is set in a bezel with a heavy twist of wire around it.
The pin is domed, the porcelain is framed with a wide border of 12 rows of very fine twisted wire, the final edge is heavy twisted wire.
Excellent condition, no damage or visible wear.
Measures 2" in diameter, the cameo is 1&1/8", total weight is 25.1 grams.
Signed on the back Lillian Pines New York Sterling, the jasperware is signed Wedgwood England.

*Lillian H. Rosenblum Pines, who was born in 1894 in Manchester, NH. Pines graduated from Radcliffe College in 1915 and had a retail store in the Westbury Hotel on Madison Avenue in New York City. She died at the age of 100. A contemporary and friend of Mary Gage, Gage and Pines clearly influenced each other.
