A unique vintage double sided locket with two different Oriental motifs.
Both designs are forms of transportation, one is a woman in a rickshaw, the other has a Chinese junk (an ancient Chinese sailing vessel).
The depictions have great detail, the mother of pearl background has a luminous glow with flashes of pink and green.
The scenes are framed with a tight twist of wire.
The white metal looks like nickel, the images are copper with a gilt finish.
Measures 1&1/8" by 7/8", the extended bail and ring adds another .5".
Excellent condition, there is wear to the gilt finish, no distraction.
A very unusual Art Deco locket c1920s.
