c 1900 Rolling Pin - Incised Decorated Handles
Turned from one piece of maple, this rolling pin has a rich, nut brown patina and nicely turned handles with incised line decoration. One handle has a small mushroom shaped knob from which the pin may be hung. The other handle never had a small knob, and the incised circular decoration continues to the end of the handle.
The pin measures 17 1/2" long (barrel alone is 11") x 3" in diameter. The circumference is 9". There's some minor discoloration in a couple of spots and a couple of small, shallow dents. The small knob has a minor rub at the edge and a small nick.
This pin would be a grand addition to any collection, and of course with the holidays coming up, could be put to use rolling some pie crusts and cookie dough!
Please note ...shipping cost is an estimate, I'll refund the difference if it is less than charged.
