Early Victorian 14K Gold Swallow Enamel Locket
This early Victorian locket is quite attractive! It has a swallow in flight with what looks like a ring in his mouth. He has black enamel detail, hand chasing and a red ruby cab eye.
Unmarked - acid tested as 14k gold on both the bail and the rim
There are no liners inside and what looks like a silver wash
It is 8 grams and 1 1/2" tall
the clasp works well and clicks closed - original bail
very good condition with two tiny spots of wear to the enamel on each side of the hinge
A lovely sentimental rare piece!
