Fabulous bracelet from the 1930s -1940s with old pale icy pink jade carved Chinese shou beads and an genuine amethyst bullet shaped cabochon clasp. The color ranges from the palest of pink, almost white to an icy pink, depending on the light source. The push clasp itself is beautiful with a glowing purple bullet shaped amethyst in an ornate silver tone setting. The beads have old amethyst glass disk spacers between them. There are twelve beads the largest being 5/8 inch or 14mm and few smaller at 1/2 inch or about 12mm. Each bead has been tested as jade on a Presidium tester The clasp is 3/8 inches diameter and 3/8 inches deep. The beads have been restrung as the old cord had deteriorated. Measures 8 inches long - because the size of the beads take up some of the diameter, it is suitable for a small to medium wrist. Weight is 39.3 grams. The reverse of the clasp is slightly indented, see photograph, but mechanically sound. The beads show light wear under a loupe. Really old, lovely piece of jewelry.
