Jade necklace from the 1940s Oriental style with extra large egg shaped beads deep green in color, some with tan mottling, strung on a gold gilt chain. Beads have ornate double row silver tone spacers between each. The clasp is an intricately made raised silver tone metal marked with a horseshoe - not tested. Chinese style push in with openwork filigree. The beads are fairly uniform in size at about 17mm or about 3/4 inches, some slightly smaller, some slightly larger. There are slight chips that may be natural to the stone on two of the beads. Weight is a hefty 73 grams.
