Very Vintage - Fleur De Lis - Mint Green Pottery Teapot - Tea For One - Restaurant
The maker is unknown to me on this nice tea-for-one teapot. It features ten Fleur-De Lis and small raised dots around the top that offsets nine rounded Swirl panels. The handle has a thumb rest to steady a hand when pouring. I believe this little pot is a Hotel and Restaurant issue from the 1920's. The pattern/shape is similar to a Knowles Taylor and Knowles pattern called Lotus that is pictured on page 374 in, "Official Price Guide to Pottery and Porcelain, Eighth Edition" by Harvey Duke, Copyright 1995.
In any case this teapot is in excellent condition, without any chips, dings, discoloration, stains, scratches, cracks, or repairs. It is clean inside and out and I don't see any crazing. It is unmarked as shown.
Height 4-1/2" approx. 6" Spout edge to outside of handle Opening 1-7/8". Base 2-1/4".
This is a really nice little pot for use or display.
Thanks for looking, and enjoy your day.
Don't let this one get away.
