Vintage L. E. Smith Glass - Depression Era - Green - Art Deco Large Footed Rose Bowl
Offering a lovely example of Depression Era glass. This is L. E. Smith's cupped bowl or large rose bowl vase, Line #515, Mount Pleasant pattern, manufactured, 1930-1932, in Depression green uranium glass. It is difficult to believe the Depression Era began over 85 years ago. It glows really strong under UV light. The bowl features deco and floral copper wheel cuttings around the outside. The rim arrangement is called Style B. One large scallop, one point, large scallop, two points, all the way around.
The size is 7" Across X 3-3/4" Tall
There are no nicks, chips, cracks, stains, or repairs. There is one inclusion (straw mark) on the inside bottom. It seems inclusions are an inherent part of glass making even from a fine glass maker like the L. E. Smith company. There are also some tiny bubbles.
This is a great looking bowl to show off anywhere in your home. Multi-use bowl for serving, potpourri, or use it as a water vase to float blossoms.
