Antique Northwood Opalescent Jewel And Flower Table Set - Canary 1904
Offering a lovely Victorian table set from the Harry Northwood Company in 1904. The pattern was originally called Encore but is now known as Jewel and Flower. This is the Canary color also called Vaseline Glass which glows under UV light. (blacklight).
The set is pre-owned and was used. There are only two tiny nicks on the whole set that I can find. They are pictured, and described so the purchaser will know if there are any issues.
The pics are very enlarged and the nicks will appear huge but they are not. There is a 1/16" nick on the under side of the butter bottom, in the ridge where the stippling ends and a slight nick about the same size on a large top scallop of the sugar bowl. There are tiny bubbles here and there and a larger one on the butter bottom. None are broken. The bubble on the butter bottom is approximately 3/16" with a very tiny one nearby. The gold trim is about 65% intact and the blush stain on the threading is fairly good.
The spooner and the creamer are free from damage and there are no other issues to be found. It is rare to find all the pieces in a table set as old as this one that was actually used, without some issues. The bottoms of all the pieces are in excellent condition too. No other chips, stains, scratches, or repairs on the set.
If anyone would like any other pictures I would be happy to email them.
Don't let this one get away.
Thanks for looking: Enjoy your day!
