Vintage Lot of Four Hand Painted Nippon Whipped Cream Ladles
Here are four very nice Nippon whipped cream or mayonnaise ladles for your collection or use. Three are marked and one is not. The marked ones are as follows in no particular order:
Hand Painted M in Wreath for Morimura Bros., Nippon, Mark #47;
Hand Painted, Crown, Nippon, Mark #10;
Hand Painted, Rising Sun mark, Nippon, Mark #84;
No mark on the ladle with Four pink roses.
The Mark numbers refer to the numbers used in Joan F. Van Patten's book, "Collector's Encyclopedia of Nippon Porcelain, Sixth Series", Copyright 2001.
All in excellent condition, free of damage, no chips, stains, scratches, or repairs. Little to no wear. I couldn't find any cracks until after I posted the pictures. I can now see a tiny tight one-quarter inch hairline age crack in the side of the ladle with the pink rose surrounded with blue. Eighth picture down. This is a very enlarged picture. The hairline crack was not noticeable to me until I saw it in the enlarged picture. The ladles were part of an estate acquisition and I don't believe the collector actually used them. The ladle with the hairline crack is the one that is not marked.
Small ladles like this are Multi-useful for condiments like ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, jams & jellies, gravies & sauces, minced relishes, cranberry sauce.........etc, the list is endless.
Thanks for looking! Enjoy your day!
