Vintage 1959 Napco "Chef" Mustard Jar
Here is a cute Mustard Pot manufactured by the National Potteries Company of Cleveland, Ohio, otherwise known as NAPCO. They were importers of planters, kitchen ware and decorative items for the home.
This Mustard jar was part of a popular Chef series that included a Ketchup jar, jam jar, salt and pepper shakers, spice jars, cream and sugar set, teapot, and spoon rest. There may have been other pieces that are not pictured in my Napco book.
The Napco kitchen items compare nicely to the Holt Howard Pixieware items.
Condition: Free from damage. No cracks, chips, dings, stains, or crazing. Yellowing on glue where the spoon. dipper, ladle, meets the cover.
This jar is bottom marked 1959, NAPCO,CLEVE,OHIO, a signature of the designer which I can't decipher, and number SF-4410.
Measurements: 5-1/4" Tall, 3" base, 2*1/4" opening, 3-1/2" across the Chef's hat.
