Hocking Depression Era Pink Mayfair Butter Cover - Lid - Ca. 1931-1937
Here is your chance to replace that lid that Grandma or Aunt Jane broke during Thanksgiving dinner in 1985. This cover can also be used as the lid for the small round vegetable dish or for the butter keeper. There aren't many of these around as more and more Pink Depression glass is swallowed up in collections.
This one is not perfect but it might be a good replacement until a better one comes along. The lid is in perfect condition except for the tiny nibbles around the finial. The rest of the lid has no damage. I imagine the finial nicks are from laying the lid over on many surfaces while using the butter dish. Unfortunately, It is difficult to find one of these without some damage.
The size is 5-3/4" OD.
I don't usually offer damaged pieces unless it is a replacement or a very collectible hard to find item.
Thanks for looking.
