Depression Era Hocking Green Cameo 36 ounce - 6" Juice Pitcher
Manufactured 1930 - 1934. This pattern is also known as Dancing Girl.
This estate find, little juice pitcher is really a honey. There is no damage, no stains, chips, bites, dings, nicks, or cracks. There is a small amount of wear on the bottom which is to be expected.
There is an original sticker adhered to the glass. Some of it around the edges of the paper is worn away and it is difficult to read but I have seen a picture of an original and it is the real thing. The word "Cameo" is written across the middle and it is surrounded by a circle of dots. There is a picture of a Cameo sticker on page 36, in "Mauzy's Depression Glass" 1999 First Edition, authored by Barbara and Jim Mauzy.
Don't let this one get away.
Check out my pink 6" Mayfair pitcher too! I have it in my shop now!
Thanks for looking.
A WORD ABOUT GENERAL CONDITION OF GLASS: Most of the glass I sell is vintage and as such, shows characteristics of age, which may include allowable base wear, bubbles, pattern irregularities, straw marks (inclusions/cooling marks) or mold marks. Vintage glass is rarely perfect and these characteristics are normal. Old glass may also have ash, sand, or dirt specks embedded in the glass. All of these features are expected to occur in vintage glass from time to time, and can also occur in contemporary glass. I will do my best to describe any chips, cracks or other damage that would impact the value of the item.
