SALE SAVE 15% - Offering a super set of VERY RARE and collectible Bunny Hugs. These bunny huggables signed, R. BENDEL, and having white bodies, gray and black spots, with pink cheeks and ears, are especially hard to find.
This set is signed just under the tail (copr. 1958 R BENDEL). R. BENDEL is aka Ruth Van Tellingen, Ruth Van Tellingen-Bendel, a well known children's book illustrator. The bottom reads (PAT. NO. 2560755). The Patent was applied for on May 6, 1949, and the Publication Patent date was July 17, 1951. Other huggable sets issued prior to July 17, 1951 are marked Pat Pending. These were manufactured by the Regal China Company of Antioch, Illinois, from approximately 1958 until 1963.
These are designed, with the holes on the same sides when hugging, to be picked up as a set to sprinkle salt and pepper at the same time.
CONDITION: Excellent, no damage of any kind that I can see or feel. No chips, cracks, stains, scratches, crazing, or wear. Nice clean set.
