This Reed & Barton five piece High Tea Hostess Set has the Reed & Barton mark but the pieces do not say Sterling. I will assume they are Silver Plate. I don't believe they have ever been polished, they have no damage that I can see or feel and they are in their original box. The box is structurally sound but the outside is worn. I will leave the silver polishing to the new owner.
The Harlequin Floral Series Pattern was made in many different flowered handles. The floral patterns go completely around the handles depicting both the front and back of the flowers. This set consists of:
Lemon Fork - Forget Me Not Bon Bon Spoon - Tea Rose Jelly Spoon - Apple Blossom Pickle/Olive Fork - Bachelor Button Cream Ladle - Wild Rose
The pieces measure between 5" and 6".
In researching these I found that they were first produced in Sterling Silver and were very popular. The Silver Plate pattern was introduced in 1958 and was made until 1976.
