This is a lovely little piece of Nippon porcelain. I believe it is a tray for mints or perhaps Domino Sugar cubes. It is all hand painted with a pretty pink rose and a bunch of violets at either end with trailing vines along the inside edge.
CONDITION: There are no chips, bites, nicks, stains, or scratches. Nothing I can see or feel that would be damage. The gold trim around the rim is the only wear I can see on the surface. The gold trim is approximately 40% intact.
SIZE: Long: 7-5/16" OD. 6" ID. Wide: 1-7/8" OD. 1-1/2" ID 1-3/8" tall at each end 3/4" tall at middle
The bottom is un-glazed and is marked with the Nippon sunrise mark. Ca. 1911-1921. This is mark #84 in "Van Patten's ABC's of Collecting Nippon Porcelain" by Joan Van Patten.
