Vintage Fenton Diamond Optic Elegant 9" Dolphin Bowl - 1927-1937 Depression Era Elegant Glass
This offering is for an elegant glass issue by the Fenton Art Glass Company in the 1920's. It is their quilted look pattern called Diamond Optic with the three Dolphin decoration. This is one of the first patterns by Fenton that was issued in a complete tableware set. However, the tableware line was only issued for ten years and many of the pieces were discontinued as early as 1931. I believe this bowl was one that was only issued for about three years. Many of the pieces in this, almost 100 years old, pattern are hard to find today.
This is a beautiful sparkling green bowl. The diamond quilted pattern is on the inside and the bowl is smooth on the outside. It is amazing how well this pattern will go with the decor of today. The bowl is substantial weighing almost two pounds.
Condition: Pre-owned but in excellent displayed condition without any nicks, chips, cracks, stains, or scratches. There are some Factory made teeny-tiny bubbles here and there and a few very light mold straw marks. The bowl is from a three part mold.
Pattern number: 1502-A-9" ...............The size is: 9" across the widest part of the top X 3.75" Tall.
