This door bell is perfect for a small business owner that needs a front counter “Ring Bell for Service”. It is very loud and tones for 7 seconds after ringing. I’m sure this started as a sample bell, but ended it’s service at the Wayne Elementary School in Ellwood City, PA. They would ring it over the PA system to announce the start/end of classes and recess. The Wayne School closed in the 1970’s. The bell is mechanical and doesn’t need batteries. It weighs 3 pounds. Measurements are 5 inches wide, 8 ½ inches deep and 8 7/8 inches high. As you can see in the photos there is oxidation on the bell housing, mainly on the top, and paint specks on the platform. It could easily be restored to a beautiful finish.
