Rare Set of 12 Russian / Polish Solid 84 Silver Fish Knives & Forks Warsaw Poland Circa 1910s
This superb quality 875 purity silver set was made by Władysław Hempel in Warsaw under Russian occupation. Handles are decorated with flowers, leaves, and ribbons. Blade of each knife is decorated with embossed fish. Each piece has 3 clear hallmarks, Russian Kokoshnik indicating 84 grade, W.H., which is the makers mark for W. Hempel, and a workshop mark. Every fork and knife is entirely made in solid, heavy gauge silver. The set comprises of six knives and six forks.
The forks are 7-1/2 inches long and the knives are 8 inches long.
The set is in a very good condition. Slightly tarnished. Blades and forks' shafts are gilded.
