Exquisite framed pair of antique French Limoges porcelain plaques hand painted with fruit by the listed California artist Jessie May Washburn (1860-1942). One plaque is a fine painting of blackberries and blossoms; the other is of berries and foliage. They are masterpieces and look beautiful together. They are housed in their original classic frames, and both are signed by the artist. The plaques are in perfect condition. Each plaque with frame measures 12 by 9 inches and without frame measures 9-1/2 by 6-1/2 inches. On the back of each plaque is the incised Limoges factory mark PPL dating from the latter part of the 1800's. These are fine quality paintings on porcelain that are done with great detail, and done by a renowned china painter and artist. Opportunities to own investment quality Limoges pieces like this don't come around often.
