Rare triptych yardlong of three antique French Limoges paintings on porcelain plaques framed in the original sawn oak frame. The musical monk band consists of the conductor, the singer, and four musicians. The quality of painting is excellent, and you can almost hear them play! Each of the three plaques is marked on the back with the green T&V Limoges France factory mark circa 1900 and initialed "L" by the artist. The two side plaques measure 7-1/2 by 5-1/2 inches. The one on the left with the oboe player is artist signed G.M. Leavitt. This plaque has two clean cracks glued long ago and can easily be repaired. The other side plaque with the guitar player and the large center plaque are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. The center plaque measures 14-1/8 by 5-1/2 inches and is beautifully painted with the conductor, the singer, and two musicians. The fine quality oak frame measures 36 by 11-1/4 inches with the three openings for the plaques. The opening on the right has some wood losses on two sides as you can see in the picture. This is a wonderful collector's piece and will bring a smile to your face!
