K Star R Character Kaiser Baby German Bisque Doll 11"
This is an adorable 11" K star R character baby doll made by the German company Simon & Halbig for Kammer & Reinhardt circa 1909 and on into the early 1900s. This baby mold 100 was the first in a line of character dolls and is often known as Kaiser Baby. The doll's head is marked on the back 28 over K star R over 100. This baby has the original 5 piece composition body with bent limbs.
This baby doll comes dressed in what may be original clothing consisting of a long white cotton baby gown over a white cotton slip, wool slip, and diaper. He or she lacks only booties and a bonnet to complete the outfit.
Condition is good. There are no chips, cracks or repairs to the bisque. There is a small cheek rub on the doll's right cheek. There is a small chip on the top of the body at the back of the neck. The baby gown could use a washing to brighten it and remove some stains.
This small size Kaiser baby is especially sweet, and is I believe the smallest size that this model came in. Add this baby to your collection!
