This is an unusual antique cut glass fob in the shape of a book, suspended from a gold filled necklace chain. The front of the book is is cut in a decorative repeat diamond pattern through a layer of cranberry colored glass to the clear glass below. The back side is plain. A simple gold filled mounting holds the book fob and forms the bail. The 16" gold filled chain is unmarked but tests as gold filled. It has a simple old fashioned spring ring clasp.
The fob measures 1" x 1.25" x .25".
Condition: There is a tiny nibble to one corner of the fob.
