This is a well crafted vintage sterling silver brooch depicting African impala antelope deer. The scene shows a buck standing in the foreground, and a mother and young one in the background. They are standing on an almost bare ground with some grass and a distinctive tree behind them. The back of the brooch has a standard pin stem and roll over safety clasp. It is marked STER SIL and a difficult to read makers mark, perhaps Camma.
This brooch weighs 8.4 gr. It measures 1.625" in diameter.
Condition is good.
This brooch is like a miniature piece of fine art, so well made and finely detailed. It would be perfect for an animal lover.
