This is an unusual early 1900s Italian 800 silver mans lava cameo cufflinks and tie clip set. Each piece is marked 800 for silver content. The cufflinks are set with gray beige carved warrior heads facing in opposite directions. The tie clip has a matching warrior head. The lava cameo on the tie clip is removable. It slides off leaving you with a simple bar with bright cut design. The removed cameo can also be worn as a slide if you have a band or ribbon to slide it onto, in which case a gentleman could wear the cufflinks and his lady friend could wear the cameo slide on a ribbon as a choker necklace.
The combined weight is 16.5 gr. Each cameo in its setting measures just under .75" in diameter. The tie clip bar is 2.125" x .25".
Condition: One cufflink warrior has a tiny chip on the top of the crest over his helmet.
Though most lava cameos I find date from the 1800s, this set appears to be from the early Art Deco period. The set would be a fine addition to a cufflink collection.
