This is an elegant Victorian Revival 1930s-40s vintage gold filled brooch containing a portrait of a lady wearing 1840s style dress. The brooch is unmarked and tests as gold filled. It is a plain setting with solid closed back and glass front. The back has a standard pin stem and functional roll over safety clasp.
The brooch measures 1.25" x 1.5".
Condition is good.
This vintage brooch evokes the appearance of an even earlier era. It is a perfect way to afford the a lovely Victorian manner portrait brooch, without the higher expense of one that dates from the 1800s.
