This is a very uncommon 25 inch tall model of German china shoulder head doll made by C. F. Kling circa 1870s, marked with model number 148 and size 11. She has short curved bangs across the top of the forehead, brushstrokes of hair around the face, exposed ears, and hair in an up do in back the ends softly on the nape of the neck. She has an antique body with large china lower arms with sew hole attachments. Her antique clothing consists of white cotton pantaloons and petticoat, black knit stockings, soft black leather shoes, a blue silk dress with short puffed sleeves, and topped off by an antique enameled cross necklace with sparkling paste stones surrounding the cross.
Condition: The shoulder head is in good condition, no chips, cracks or repairs. There is some wear to the hair color in back. Fingers on both hands do have some damage. Body has some repairs. Silk dress has areas of fading and /or discoloration and a few small splits.
Overall this doll presents beautifully.
