This is an interesting pair of early 1900s German made china socket head dolls representing a Dutch boy and girl, and the boy is a smoker! Probably made by Hertwig as part of their novelty dolls, the girl is marked Germany 16519 and the boy is marked16518. Their nicely made matching clothing was made by Harriet McGee of Springfield Mass. as stated on a tag inside the girl's dress, probably made back in mid 1900s.
The dolls have cloth bodies and celluloid hands.
Condition is good. No chips, cracks or repairs to the china heads.
What a cute pair, but for the naughty boy who is smoking!
