This is a Victorian period black enameled and sterling silver locket with beveled glass hinged compartment in back. The front of the locket has silver decorative scrolling pattern that has worn over time so is now a bit faint. There is a piece of maroon ribbed silk backing the rear compartment.
The locket measures 1.375" x 2.125" (including bail), and is .375" thick.
Condition: wear to silver design on front. Otherwise good.
This is a classic piece of mourning jewelry to hold a memory of a loved one.
