This is a wonderful antique circa early 1900s home made velveteen stuffed monkey toy. He is holding a banana in his right hand. The face is charmingly embroidered in a naive manner.Fingers and toes are indicated by stitching. The skinny tail is wired so it can be posed. Face, hands and feet are tan felt. This fellow measures 7" tall in seated position, 7" across from foot to foot, and about 4.5" front to back - excluding tail.

Condition is relatively good. There is a little soiling on the bottom of the feet. The left hand has a wire ring as though it might have once held something there or perhaps that was used to hang him up.

He makes me smile. How can you not love him.
