This amusing 15" tall crocheted cloth lady doll ventures forth dressed in her red crocheted bathrobe. I estimate that she dates from circa 1920s based upon the marcel wave hairstyle that was skillfully created in crochet, and her style of footwear. She is not a classic beauty, but whoever made her certainly had amazing crochet skills. The parts that are not crocheted are her stockings and drawers, though even the drawers have crocheted trim. She has quite a figure too, with impressive breasts and buttocks. She has been further accessorized with cross earrings.
Condition is good, but for the sole of one shoe separating.
She makes me laugh, and I totally appreciate the work and skill that went into her making. She is surely unique.
