This is an outstanding vintage American South Western sterling silver turquoise necklace. This necklace is unmarked but tests positive for silver content of sterling grade. I believe that this is a Native American Indian made piece, but because it is unmarked I can't make attribution. It is a skillfully made necklace with 2 side pieces hinged to the center piece. The center is set with a single natural turquoise stone secured in a sawtooth edged bezel. Below the stone is a sky band pattern, that leads me to suspect that this is a Pueblo design. Symbols on the side wings include rows of triangles which can mean wishes for good crops.
This necklace weighs 55.49 gr. it measures approximately 22" wearable length, measuring 7" long chains on each side plus the 3 piece center portion. The center piece measures 1.325" x 1.625". The center stone measures 11x15mm. Each side wing measures 4" x 1.125".
Condition is good. Patina has been left intact.
This handsome necklace could be your striking necklace.
