This lovely circa 1850s-60s German china head doll of the so-called Greiner type with covered wagon hair style has uncommon brown eyes. This model of doll has been attributed to Kloster Veilsdorf. She is 13.5" tall on her old cloth body. I lifted the head temporarily to look for markings and found only a black painted 6. She has a complete set of antique clothing consisting of matching petticoat and pantaloons, silk stockings, leather shoes, and a frail cotton print dress.
Condition: No chips, cracks or repairs to the shoulder head. There is some minor factory flaw pitting in the china, including at the base of her throat and tip of nose. There is some minimal wear tot he hair color on a back of head curl and above forehead in front. Her dress has many splits in the fabric.
She is a sweet and demure little girl and her brown eyes are a special feature.
