This is a pair of mens silver plate Hickok cufflinks, each depicting a Chinese man chained and in stocks. The round face of each cufflink is textured as wood and the man wears a long mustache and queue hairstyle. His head protrudes, as do his chained hands. The back of the cufflinks is marked Hickok U.S.A.
These each measure .875" in diameter.
Condition is good.
This is the oddest pair of mens cufflinks I have come across. I wonder if these are referencing the Opium Wars. If you collect cufflinks, these would be quite a rare addition.
