This beautiful gold filled vintage necklace features a flexible snake chain necklace with a detachable pendant brooch. The clasp and brooch are both marked P.S. CO. for Plainville Stock Co. of Plainville, MA, in business from c. 1896 to present. Also marked 1/20th 10K G.F. The pendant also has a patent pending mark. The pendant brooch is in the form of a rhinestone enhanced bow around a single large light blue faceted stone. Red accent stones further enhance the bow. I estimate that this fine necklace dates from circa 1950s.
The snake chain necklace is flexible and can expand in length. At rest it is 14" long but can extend up to 17". The pendant brooch measures 1.5" x 1.125".
Condition is good but for some foil loss behind the blue stone.
