This is a gorgeous circa early 1900s Chinese export carved cranes and ginko tree lapis pendant suspended from a Peking glass faux moonstone bead necklace. The clasp of the necklace is sterling silver and bears a Chinese marking. The pinch bail on the pendant is a replacement sterling bail. The lapis pendant is fully carved through with a ginko tree on one side and 2 cranes and a serpent or snake on the other.
The lapis pendant measures 1.25" x 2.125" x .25" thick. The necklace is 16" long and has 38 beads each 10mm in diameter, plus the clasp set with a half stone.
Condition is good. The beads have been restrung on light blue silk cord with knots between the beads. The silver pinch bail is a modern replacement.
What a beautiful necklace!
