This is a circa early 1900s original factory made doll dress suitable for an antique bisque doll approximately 12" tall. Please check measurements for best fit. This dress would have been the original dress that came on a doll straight out of the box. Dresses like this were simply made, with an emphasis on placing the most decoration - trims, lace and details - on the front. It is a simple shift dress, completely open in back. The top of the dress has a square bodice indicated by an overlay of lace with pale blue ribbons inserted. There is also lace trim around neck and cuffs. It is white cotton with some sort of oil cloth type finish. Condition is overall good but for some loss tot he fabric finish. I have not washed this dress.
Measurements: 9" from top of shoulder to bottom of hem, 5.5" flat across the chest, 2.5" flat across neckline, 2" flat across armhole, 8" flat across hem.
It is hard to find original garments, and this one is authentic - not some trumped up fake confection made from old materials. This is the real deal. If you appreciate authenticity for your antique doll collection, add this garment.
