This is a circa early 1900s original factory made doll dress suitable for an antique bisque doll approximately 14" tall. Please check measurements for best fit. This dress would have been the original dress that came on a doll straight out of the box. Dresses like this were simply made, with an emphasis on placing the most decoration - trims, lace and details - on the front. It is a simple shift dress with a same fabric belt that hooks in back. The top of the dress has a layer of lace over the bodice and lace trim around neck, cuffs and hem. It is white cotton with a touch of pink trim at neck and cuffs. Condition is overall good but for some age stains. I have not washed this dress to attempt to remove the stains. Hook on belt needs a new loop to hook into.
Measurements: 9.5" from top of shoulder to bottom of hem, 4" flat across the chest, 3.25" across the waist if belt is closed, 3.25" flat across neckline, 2" flat across armhole, 1.75" flat across cuff, 7.25" flat across hem.
It is hard to find original garments, and this one is authentic - not some trumped up fake confection made from old materials. This is the real deal. If you appreciate authenticity for your antique doll collection, add this garment.
