This is a 14 inch tall circa 1840s German papier mache so-called milliner's model type doll with molded bun in her hair. She is dressed in an antique blue and white print cotton dress, petticoat and apron.
Condition: The shoulder head has no repaint. There is some glue reinforcing the cracks along the mold seam line and on the back of the shoulder plate, The body has some visible repairs - see photos. The dress has tears on the skirt front that have been backed. The apron has a small brown stain. Wooden arms and legs have some paint loss.
She is a nice example of this type of early doll.
