This is an uncommon antique Victorian period camphor glass quadruple cameo brooch. This molded glass cameo in frosted camphor glass depicts a row of 4 different helmeted Roman soldier's. The unmarked setting is gold tone metal, probably gilded brass. The back has a simple old fashioned T hinged pin stem and hooded C clasp. In addition there is a short length of chain with an additional safety pin. The setting framing the cameo has small gold beads around the top and bottom edges, in the Etruscan Revival manner.
Condition is good, other than some discoloration behind the cameos, probably due to aging and patina of metal backing.
The brooch measures 2.125" x .75".
Great example of camphor glass jewelry.
