This is an early mother and child pair of Florida Seminole Indian dolls with palmetto fiber bodies and colorful cotton dresses. The largest doll is 12" tall and the small one is 6" to the bottom of the body and 7" to the bottom of her dress. Both dolls have the classic seminole hairdo. The larger doll has more intricate piecework in her dress. Both dolls have beaded necklaces and earrings and stitched faces.
Condition: The smaller doll has problems with the palmetto fibers of the lower body coming apart. The larger doll is in good condition.
If you collect American Indian dolls, these are nice examples of this type.
