This is a gorgeous Art Deco diamond and cultured blue gray south sea pearl brooch. The brooch is set all over with small diamonds (tested). The original center pearl was badly damaged so I replaced it with the large pearl now in place. The setting tests positive for silver content of 800 grade. The back of the brooch has a gold wash finish. There is a mark on the pin stem that conforms to the check mark for 800 silver in use circa 1929-1942. The rest of the markings I have not been able to decipher.
This brooch weighs 17.4 gr. It measures 1.25" x 2.125". The center pearl is 10mm in diameter.
Condition is good. Note that the center pearl is a replacement.
This brooch is the epitome of elegance. Picture this beauty on a classic little black dress.
