This is an unusual early 1900s Chinese export filigree and enameled brooch that features a pair of miniature dolls dangling below. The brooch is silver plate over copper and is marked CHINA on the back. The little dolls are a man and a woman. They have composition heads, hands and feet. The torsos are cloth and the limbs are attached by internal wires. They are dressed in tiny silk tunics and trousers.
The brooch with dolls measures 3.75" long by 2.25" across. The dolls alone are 2.5" tall.
Condition: There is some wear to the silver plate. There is a small patch of of the top layer missing from the back of one doll's head.
