This is a fine 23 inch tall antique German china head doll on its original home made body dated 1866. The home made body has faint writing on the buttocks that (I think) says Made by me 1866. Someone has overwritten again 1866, and in another spot the year 1867 is also written. Her antique clothing consists of white cotton pantalettes, chemise, dress with lace down the front and around sleeves, a crocheted shawl and a good luck horseshoe stick pin to hold the shawl closed.
Condition is good. There are no chips, cracks or repairs to the china shoulder head or china arms. There is minimal wear to the hair color in back. The body is very sturdy and firmly stuffed.
