This glorious lady is the largest of its kind I have ever had the privilege to own, standing 27 inches proud and tall. She is a circa 1840s German papier mache shoulder head so called milliner's model type, with antique cloth body and wooden arms and legs. Her antique clothing consists of white cotton petticoat, chemise and pantaloons, a flannel cotton petticoat, topped by a paisley striped wool challis gown with printed cotton lining.
Condition: Sadly her outer dress is shredding, but the cotton lining is in better condition than the outer fabric, perhaps making reversing it feasible. The shoulder head has some cracks on the shoulder plate and perhaps some slight touch ups there as well. I detect no repaint on the rest of the head. her body was missing the wooden feet when I got her, so I have supplied her with replacements.
This impressive lady will be a stand out star in your collection.
